Guest guest
The boys and I all 3 saw our ophthalmologist yesterday. 's eyes are fine ; Isaac has some mild myopia but doesn't need correction at this point ; Dr. White increased my bifocal strength to +275%. He said " you have the eyes of a 70 yr. old " . He also said that although I do definitely have the ocular diagnosis of asteroid? streaks (a pre-cursor of retina detachment--anyone ever heard of this?), he didn't see any marked progression of that condition since my last visit about 9 months ago. My vision is worsening, though, and so is my light sensitivity, " floaters " , diminished peripheral vision, muscle spasms in and around my eyes, etc. My sclera is becoming more and more blue/grey and the blue " halo " around my irises is slightly more prominent. Dr. White says this is ALL secondary to my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and autonomic nervous system dysfunctions/hypersensitivity. He says this will gradually progress, but cannot say how quickly or slowly. More new glasses. I'd like to learn more about this ocular condition. Any other EDSers out there with this issue? http://www.revoptom.com/handbook/SECT5R.HTM http://www.revoptom.com/handbook/oct02_sec5_2.htm Love, ~LoneStarRose~ (~~)
