Guest guest
THANKS, Mike! I really do want to make sure I'm doing the X technique correctly. By the way, when my Mike was doing the stuff you sent to me, in only a couple days, I was doing so much better! So THANK YOU again!!!! Is what he was doing the X technique? I think it was, but I'm not sure. You sent me some numbers of where he should put his fingers. Mike, you sure are a wealth of information and a God send! ------------------- (1) I believe you are referring to the info I sent you for your neck and shoulder problem. That was not Polarity - that was a specific Jin Shin Do Acupressure neck and shoulder release. There is a great similarity between the two modalities and someone simply watching me work would not always be able to tell which of the two I was doing. But that one was acupressure. (2) The deeper I get into this the more convinced I become that some of these " alternatives " hold enormous potential benefit for all of us. I will obviously concede that my knowledge of and skill level ability to apply them is higher than the rest of the list simply because of my training. But being able to describe the techniques via email and have people on the list use them and get results proves that it is something that anyone is capable of learning to do for themselves. (3) Wealth of information? I'm just starting. As info, I just this morning finished locking down my class schedule for the rest of the year. I took the final class in my Polarity Therapy program last weekend. I will finish the intermediate level and start the advanced level program in Jin Shin Do Acupressure (one in March and the other in September), take levels I and II of Acutonics (March and May), and take the first two classes in Visceral Manipulation (April and May). In addition, I will take a class on applying Acupressure principles to Cranialsacral Therapy in July and Subtle Energy Therapy (intro to Therapeutic Touch taught by one of the Foundation Directors) in October. Acutonics is an interesting variation on acupressure because it uses the vibrations from tuning forks to stimulate the acupoints. I will be taking the Visceral Manipulation classes for two reasons. One is that one of my Jin Shin Do instructors has really been pushing me toward doing it for almost a year now. The other is that there have been a number of questions and posts regarding things like stress incontinence and bladder and uterine prolapses. I have responded to some of them by looking stuff up in a couple of books I have. I want/need to know more detailed info on these if I am going to be able to help provide meaningful information to the list.

I still have to tell you, though, that we are very lucky indeed to have you on our list and have access to your expertise AND your humor! I have found BOTH to be very helpful and comforting! And for that to increase, is beyond my wildest expectations! Love Lana
