Guest guest
Aase, Thanks so much for another way to approach the cracks. You're right about the kind of lotion to use. I've tried to find one that's lanolin(fat) based, but that's nearly impossible ....any ideas? CindyH Wisc. ~~~ From: Aase Marit Waage For those of you who have trouble with skin cracks (fissures) on hands and feet... You can get tiny bottles at the parmacy of Silver Nitrate Solution (lapis) 2%. You can also get 0.5%, but that is not anywhere as effective. There's once company in particular that I've seen lots of, but I can't remember the name of it. I'll try to look at home and see if I have it there. Guest guest
Hi, I can't remember any lanolin based ones, but there should be several on the market. I do know that many people do have allergies to lanolin (sheep's wool fat)... So if you already have allergies, maybe you should be careful with it? If you want to try it, and can't find any, you could ask a compounding pharmacist if they have it or could get it for you. Then you could mix it into a lotion or cream you are OK with... The pharmacist could probably do it for you too, but you would have to pay for the work he/she does... My experience is that it is just to use your fantasy and try different mixes...
