Guest guest
I think your best bet would be to have your pediatrician write a letter for you. Explaining that the band is a medical necessity. Like someone else posted, most of the sites on the web only show the long term medical effects that can occur if you don't band. I'm in the same boat as you, my insurance company has denied our claim. I'm in the process of appealing it. We ended up paying for the band out of pocket and are now trying to be reimbursed. Good Luck... Lorie Mom to Spencer and Alizabeth 10 months Spencer- Left Plagio-DOC Band Grad 9/07-12/07 Glendale, AZ [sPAM] help please Hi! I am in need of some help. my insurance may or may not denied my daughter , we are fighting with them to pay but it may take up to a week to fine out if they do . My question is do you know of any sites online where I can find proof or any information that this is medically necessity docters say it is but we are needing some info to back it up. my mom is has talked to them (insurance) and they told us to get this info so we have a better chance of getting it approved. we would do the whole thing with the shriners but I need more info on them and I cannot afford to go back and forth to the doc's to have scanning done to see if her head has got bigger or if the brachy / plagio has gotten worse . THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
