These are all soy-free, too, since soy isn't allowed in our household at all. Remember, these must all be toasted or grilled (like a sandwich) to be palatable: ener-g tapioca bread --nice and yeasty, good for grilled cheese, crudites, vector for tapenade or spinach dip foodforlife china black rice bread, bhutanese red rice breads -- tasty, wholegrain, good for sandwiches and burgers EnjoyLifeFoods ryeless rye bread --perfect for grilled sandwiches, grilled reubens, etc. Whole Foods GF Bakery sun-dried tomato and garlic bread --nice toasted and spread with goat cheese. Very heavy. The best mix I've found is GF Pantry's favorite sandwich bread mix. It's truly tasty and almost as good as homemade GF bread. Chebe bread makes excellent cheese rolls. For dairy-free, I spice them up with rosemary and thyme and coat them with olive oil. For pizza crusts: Glutino premium cornmeal crusts Kinnickinnick crusts Whole Foods GF bakery crusts ygg
Guest guest
Since I can't/don't/won't bake (fear of failure that I probably should be in therapy for and not wanting the neighbors to think my kitchen is on fire), I have tried a lot of GF breads. The WF sun dried tomato bread is truly awesome. And I know some disagree, but I like the Whole Foods plain Sandwich Bread better. It's more versatile without the herbs for pb and j and the like. I have never tried any other commercially made breads that I would ever put in my mouth again. I spit a lot of money in the trash can those first few GF months. However, I would recommend Kinnickinnik's english muffins and chocolate donuts. I drive miles for these. Lori in ATL > > > > What are some of your favorite breads? To buy, not to bake.
