Guest guest Posted September 16, 2003 Report Share Posted September 16, 2003 Hello, It is a crisp, clear beautiful fall day here. I went for a 2.70 mi walk and it felt great! Been eating ok, not great though. Always room for improvement right? I've had 2 bottles of water so far. I usually have at least 1 1/2 more before bed so I'm doing ok there. The supps I ordered last week still were not here yesterday so I'm heading into town to check the post office again, go to Walmart to get some stuff and then have dinner with my sweetie. I want to say welcome to the new folks! You have found a great group! I suggest reading some old posts. There is great info and it helps you get to know us a bit. Congrads to the losers!!! Keep at it. The hard work is paying off! I can't remember if it was something here or my other group, there was a site about something a couple weeks ago and I saw a thing about a " weight loss registry and checked it out. Well yesterday I got a packet in the mail from them to join a research thing on people who have lost at least 30 lbs and kept it off for at least a year. Even though I have gained some back, I am still down about 70 lbs. I'm debating wether to send it or not. Like I was telling Cassie when getting pic's out for it, they want before and after, that I don't " see " that big of a difference. I know I have lost a lot and look less bad but I am having doubts about doing this because I still am so big! Two of them are in the pic file here. Will you all tell me honestly what you think? Are those different enough to send in? I know I'm looking through critical eyes but I just still see soo much fat! That leads me to my next thing I wanted to talk about. For those struggling, not seeing the results you want or anything negative, get the negative thoughts out of your mind! That isn't going to accomplish a dang thing! What you, we I mean need to do is get refocused, re-prioritize and start again. We can do this! One day at a time. Be patient. Work on habits and behaviors. Forget about the past. That is done with. Just learn from it and try to do better. Well I'm off to Walmart and stuff. I'm going to see if they have any of Dr Phil's new book! I think his doing his weight loss challenge is the kick in the butt I need. What do you all think? It goes for 10 months. That is almost to the time of my next wedding anniversary (July 9th) and I'm hoping to be at least 30 lbs less by then. Who's with me? I want to get us fired up! I have been screwing up too long!
