Guest guest
I am scheduled for C+ on 10/30. I will be in the hospital 3 nights, then discharged. I am concerned about a long plane trip with 1 change of planes so quickly after surgery. Do you think this will be ok? Or would you recommend staying in a hotel post surgery for a few days? My wife will be with me to help.

My wife will be with me to help. How long is your flight? It makes a big difference between a 2 hour flight and a 10 hours one. We can help you better if we have more particulars. Are you going to be in the US, or overseas?

I will be traveling from Baltimore to Tulsa, OK. Flight will either be Baltimore-Chicago(change planes)-Tulsa, or Baltimore-Dallas (change planes)-Tulsa. Total travel time is about 6-7 hours, if no delays. Thank you.

Guest guest
I don't know where you live, but I live in Connecticut and had my surgery on 9/9 with Dr. Mont in Baltimore I decided to take AMTRAK home after surgery. It was GREAT! we rode first class, it was cheaper then flying and shorter than driving. I called in advance and told them I would need wheelchair assistance and they took EXCELLENT care of me. (they were waiting at the entrance with the wheelchair when we pulled up and called me by name.) I was traveling with my mom and she was relieved that it was so easy. The train had handicapped bathrooms, plenty of leg room and they even saved seats for us since they knew we were coming. I highly reccommend it! Tracey > I am scheduled for C+ on 10/30.
