what do you do about itch?

My 11-month old boy got his Hangar helmet about a week ago. He is doing great

with it,

in general, but it's clear his scalp is starting to get itchy. We take the

helmet off at least 2

times per day, wipe it out with rubbing alcohol, set it in the sun when

possible. We wash

his head every day. All this has helped with the smell. But now he's trying to

scratch his

head. We put some Gold Bond powder on his head. Any other suggestions?
