Guest guest
Kori, Right now Collin is doing ok, not complaining as much about pain, etc. Having to still put the DBB on a 3 year old is getting tougher and tougher, I have broken down to bribing!!!! (Not just for the brace but for potty training too) For now we are holding off, but I'm going to stay to listen to the 1/2 hour discussion at the conference on the external fixators just incase it comes down to it for Collin. It was hard finding info. on it so I'll take any I can get. I explained to Dr. H and his associate that a 3 year old is not mentally ready for the device in my opinion and I want to hold off. Dr. H said he is looking good right now. The whole thing confused me a bit, one day he needs it the next day he's fine...but I'm not going to fight the issue with Dr. H or his associate because I trust them and since I don't think Collin is ready for it right now anyways. I'll keep you posted though if they mention him needing it again. I'm not sure even what they will say about him at the conference were attending, I'm not sure what his 15 mins of fame will be on, I'm assuming it will be on a child who switched to the method at age 2, but who knows. I'll let you know. Thanks so much for thinking of us, that is so sweet. I'll deffiantly post any updates we have....it's kind of nice though not to have any right now, we are just enjoying the summer, we have been through the terrible 2's and just entered the 3's which seem tougher to me then 2......We just moved in June and Collin is still adjusting and having a hard time some days, etc...so we are just sort of taking it one day at a time lately.
