I am just sharing our experience with the age thing. Our ped.

wanted us to wait till 9 months (first it was wait till 4, then 6,

then 9). At 6 months, a friend of mine (used to be an RN) was

over. She had never met my son, Eli. She asked me point blank if

the doctor was okay with his head shape. I told her we went to CT

at 3 months because after trying to reposition (and it wasn't

working due to lack of ROM). My husband and I decided to ask our

ped. about his head at 4 months. CT told us 5 months is a great age

to band. Well, we didn't do that because our ped. said to wait till

6 months. With my friend encouraging us to go back to CT at 6

months, we did. I am SO glad we did it when we did. My son started

the band at 7.5 months and had awesome growth spurts. He only had

to wear the band till 9.5 months so a total of 2 months. His plagio

was 8mm off. He is now 2-3 mm and I think we've had a little more

rounding since the band! Also, with age I've noticed my son is

more " picky " about things and I really don't think he would be doing

as well in the band as he did at the younger age. Hopefully,

repositioning will work for you. Unfortunately, it didn't for us

which is why we banded. I do think for us repo helped my son's head

from getting worse but it didn't improve it any.

Good luck with repoing.
