Guest guest
Rose, I love your humor, and your pictures, they put a smile on my face. With this new found energy, I seem to do to much, and find myself running in circles, and that leads to pain. Which, mind you I am not complaining, but I do still have. I'm sure it will take time for my body to heal. I hope You will all let me continue here, I don't know what I'd do without you all. I see my doc this Friday, and going to see if I can try and go off some meds. Have any of you ever stop, Neurontin, Methotrexate, plaquanil, nortriptyline before, I'm not sure how to do it. I did try to cut the neurontin in half, but that was too much! I am still praying for all of you every day. Blessings, Marla I was sitting here, trying to find something I needed on the computer, and I realized that my computer desktop looks just like my kitchen table, my bedside table, the little table next to my recliner, etc. No wonder it takes me so long to do anything. So of course I had to take a picture & send it. Poor Sparky; he's a good computer who just got sold to the wrong owner. Ramblin' Rose Moderator 3 FREE months of MSN Dial-up Internet service. Guest guest
Marla The only thing the dr is cutting me back on is the prednisone. Every time they cut back on it it's harder & jerkier for me to walk but I want to get off it so I guess it's the price to be paid. grannylunatic@... __________________________________________________

I have been on the metho. for 2 1/2 years now. Are you on anything else to take the place of the pred? Marla Marla The only thing the dr is cutting me back on is the prednisone. Guest guest
Hi Marla I've been taking Cytoxan treatments since May of last year. I just had a chest xray & MRI of my abby normal brain to see if it's helping. My doc is supposed to cut the pred back a little next visit(January 26) & we haven't gotten to picking a maintenance drug out yet if the the Cytoxan is working. I thought they said a year on it but I may have misunderstood. I hope no longer than a year. I've been holding on to that thought to get me through it & counting down the months. I guess the Neurontin & Quinine just treat the symptoms? grannylunatic@... __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi , I was not able to go off the pred. until I started Methotrexate, then I went off the pred. I have been on the metho. for 2 1/2 years now. Are you on anything else to take the place of the pred? Marla Marla (and all), What are you going to take once off the MTX? I am so afraid of going off it ... I've been around sick people and have caught not one illness!!! Before MTX, if I even looked at someone who was sick, I developed pneumonia/bronchitis within just a few short days. I just love MTX and never want to go off it ... and I am on a very small dose. Love, hugs, and prayers to all, Joan

Guest guest
Hi , Ya I was told about a year on the Methotrexate, but it's been going on 3 now, my doc wants to get me off it and the plaquanil, I see him today, well see what he does, the insurance Co. turned down Remicade which he really wanted to use, don't know if you know much about my spiritual healing, but since I've been feeling better, I am willing to start decreasing one of two of my drugs, to see how I do. But if I have the slightest relapse, I will go back up on the dosage, I am very hopeful that this won't be the case. I was on Pred. for 3 years, and that was not fun. Good luck with your drugs.
