We all LONGED for longer laces on the new style shoes and our wishes came

true! - they were really short before as you well know. So funny when a

small thing like that makes us so happy hehe!

Wonderful news about Ciara's shoes! I'm glad she's more comfortable in

them now - every time Darbi starts waking a lot I know something is wrong

with her shoes/feet. The last few times it's been tangling in the covers

(which we solved - but now it's too hot and I can't wrap her in that

quilted flannel blanket thingie so she sleeps in long jammies and no covers

till I come to bed) and problems with the shoes bothering her for some

reason (bad socks - pinched skin, etc.). Whenever the waking starts - I'm

learning to look to the shoes as well as the other things I normally

check. She sleeps so well when she's happy it's increasingly apparent the

shoes are bothering her when she's not happy.

I have taken to not tightening up the strap as much as before. Darbi's red

spots on the top of her feet (I posted a pic on the CFPics list a couple of

weeks ago) were getting pretty intense looking there after a while. Her

feet got bigger but I didn't really adjust the strap much and I think that

made them worse. It seems to have helped quite a bit actually - when I

took them off this morning her really red spot that just never went away

was almost looking like it was going to fade, and the other one (on the

non-CF) was nearly gone entirely. I do the strap looser, but she's still

not really slipping when I pull on them even without the laces tied so

that's something I think. I just do the laces tight in case she did start

to slip - seems to be working for us. I'm glad you figured out the knots

thing - isn't that just about cool? I swear - out of all the *tips* I've

seen that one just thrills me to death for some reason lol.
