Guest guest
I'm sorry a little bit off topic, but I've got myself into a discussion about the UK vs US... of course I am gallantly (?) defending the UK. What I was wondering was - does anyone know how many 'foreigners' (like me!) who live in London, or indeed in the UK as a whole? A good site for most queries like this is: http://www.statistics.gov.uk/ I have just looked up Local Neighbourhood stats and the number of options it gives for my ward in UK are phenomenal, including number of income support claimants, total male and female live births and deaths, number of children whose Key Stage 2 score was under 4, etc, etc. More than anyone could ever really want to know!!! Some of it could be very useful for branches wanting grants etc though. Alternatively, http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/ or http://www.open.gov.uk/ might help. I couldn't find a definitive answer to your question though. Got me interested though and I have spent an hour noseying around all sorts of sites! -- Sue
