Guest guest
My husband was IIIC and finished chemo 5 weeks ago. The neuropathy in his hands did not really hit until the last treatment, but there is no improvement so far. I think his balance is better. He has not " bounced " back from the treatments like he thought he would. He has been on 60mg/day of Predisone since March, and he is weaning off them which may have something to do with it. His platelets were up to 86 yesterday. After treatments, we went for lab work week 1, saw the onc on week 2, nothing on week 3 & 4, and saw the onc on week 5. He is scheduled to go back in 4 weeks. He will be getting a PET/CT scan before the next visit only because the one he had after surgery showed on suspicious lymph node. Until I asked him about that, he said a scan and colonoscopy in October - 1 year from surgery. He will check CEA on some frequent schedule but I don't know what that is.
