Thank You for posting on how Janet is doing. I was wondering about her.

Please tell her to keep it up. The end is near. I just finished

treatment 10 today. Am also feeling lack of energy and alot of

shortness of breath when I exhort myself. The onc told me this is from

low blood counts. Seems that my blood does not carry enough oxygen for

my body when the counts are this low. I am normally a very physical

person and this tiredness is just depressing. Nurse told me today that

just give it time. Time is what heals. Tell Janet I am keeping her in

my Prayers and hope she feels better!!!!!

Thanks for letting us know. I had been thinking of her and was going to

post and ask if she was alright. Tell her we are Praying for her. Tell

her the end of the long tunnel is almost upon her. She has been very

strong to stay with the chemo. Inspite of the misery she is enduring. I

know that the last treatments are the toughest because of her now

weakened condition and that the chemo is cummlative. Tell her we are

all here for her. Ingrid

Oh too bad Janet missed Lizzies performance but at least you recorded it and

she can watch it when she feels better. Yeah start my neupogen shots this

morning.

Not to bad once I get in the routine of it again, but that first shot. LOL.

I sure hope Janet feeling better soon. Is no fun that is for sure, feel like

your missing out on so

Much. But it will pass and hopefully she will feel better soon. She is about

done with her stuff too, so lets hope for the best news possible. Know I

sure am..

I was thankful that I made it to granddaughter

na's spring concert. She was so cute.. We are mighty proud of her. But

she is spoiled rotten and knows it. Stinker. Her older sister is geared up

for some summer activity - just hope classes aren't cancelled. Will do some

archaeology stuff on the base. Lots of of Indian stuff, also so science

experiments, and lastly a chance to ride in and airplane. She also wanted to

do some horse riding but that was bit too costly and the other things will

keep her busy. It is all in June though, but something every week. All we

could get for na was storytelling class, as she doesn't turn 5 until

August so missing out on all the good things. But she is a story teller

anyway, so this will be great for her. She will love it and is only any

hour.

Well here I go rambling again.

Well was good of Nate not to make a deal out of missing his recital. But as

understanding as he is don't discount his feelings. He has them too and with

teenager sometimes harder to express himself.. So do something special with

him sometime, let him know he is appreciated. I am sure you do, as if I am

voice of experience here. LOL. I guess is cause I don't get along with the

older granddaughter Marissa, she is going to be 13 and we just rub each

other the wrong way. It would help if her mom would let us get it out of our

system, but the minute we start arguing she comes running to her defense.

She never picks up her clothes after a shower, wet towel and stinky clothes

on the floor in the bathroom. I just hate that and threatened to throw her

clothes on her in her room. Well I threw them in the room asking where the

dirty clothes basket was and not intentionally mind you one item of clothing

landed on Marissia. Well fur did fly. LOL Kris being youngest was never

exposed to my temper when I got after the older kids for messy rooms. So she

is not used to me throwing things. I did it all the time when I got after

her brothers and sisters, LOL. The two older kids are much more respectful

and aware of things than she is. She never had the discipline that the older

kids had, so she got away with A LOT.

I am rambling again. Anyway suffice to say I won't throw anymore clothes

unless I can see the dirty clothes basket and aim for it accurately. LOL.

But I still reserve the right to lose my temper when Marissa leaves her

clothes lay around in the bathroom. GRrrrrr.

I got some cran apple last week when I had diarrhea, was worried I would get

bladder infection etc. but luckily didn't. It was good, but course with

diarrhea I

Drank it sparingly, but this week I am going to enjoy it. I drank a can of

tomato juice yesterday. I have always love tomato juice. Was good for

settling bad tummy's after and occasional episode of too much beer or

something the night before. Didn't happen too often back in the old days,

didn't have the money (lol) but tomato juice did the trick. In Germany Ioved

the gulasch soup, spicey with papricka and tomatoe and whatever left over

meat you had went into it. Well that was German way I used round steak.

Great over noodles. But best served after and evening of drinking. Sobered

one up pretty quickly. LOL.. Jolene

has too. Sorry it is you. That is if her mother would let you. Hate

I think any juice would contribute to diarrhea. Tea is the safest bet for

diarrhea.

When my Onc nurse saw me drinking tea she said no no, is a diuretic and

makes you go, especially if you have diarrhea.. so I stopped drinking it

while I was plagued with the runs.. LOL. So far this week am just mildly

constipated so I can easily drink juice or whatever I want. Maybe a glass of

wine tomorrow. We will see.

Probably like her mom. She cleans when it gets piled up or if I start

griping. Mom can do a good job and I hope that when they do ever move out

will do better than they do now. She had no idea how to do anything when

she first got married. Was only 16, never done a lick of work at home as dad

was home (I worked at craft store) and he was kind of guy who would not wait

for kids to do their chores, they had to be done NOW and HIS WAY OR NO WAY

so when he started working everyone just walked away. Kids at first tried

but he was so demanding they just quit helping him. He would gripe at me he

could not do it all. So I tried to help too, but it was a race - I had to do

it right away or else he did it. I could not keep up. He kept up yard,

house, washed clothes, and cooked a couple different meals that I taught

him, I at least filled in on the cooking when I worked days or started it

early before I went to work in afternoon. It was a hassle. I tell you. So

Kris hubby taught her how to cook, clean and what not. She can do a good

job of cleaning now but is not consistent. I have never been a stickler for

super clean house but when I clean it is done from walls and windows etc. I

can't do that anymore, just no stamina. So what took me one to two days now

takes a week or more. Still finishing up the family room. Son put up

his new computer desk, and cleaned windows behind - I have 11 big windows in

family room, and one small one.. 21 in whole house. (2 in each bedroom, and

4 in living room.)

Anyway I can only hope that Marissa learns before she leaves home.

Thankfully she does not have the raging hormones her mom had at that age

(12, 13 years).

As I was leaving house to go to Pub tonight, real estate gal who sold my

land by the lake stopped by and asked if I still wanted to sell my house.

Said I have no place to go if I do and with all the troops coming in they

are hurting for housing, rent is up again so could not afford rent , besides

have , Kris and the granddaughters living with me. They would have taken

house as is, but I would still have had to have enough to pay off the loan

plus some extra.. Had to pass on it. If I had been living alone I would

surely have considered it. So it goes. Jolene

Where would you move to? Apartment life is not the greatest. And

living in your own house is so nice. You don't have to worry about

any rules and such. Not to mention all the sounds that aparment life

has. Visited a friend in her apartment and I could hear the neighbors

toilet flush. No owning your own home is the best I think. I better

get to bed. Husband is getting a little upset with me for still being

up. Ingrid

I better

get to bed. Husband is getting a little upset with me for still being

up. Ingrid

Well I had hoped I could get into the senior housing, but is such a waiting

list for that, and of course I have to be 65 I think. Then I have this

thing, my mom just moved in to her apartment and she had been waiting so

long. Well she barely got unpacked and passed away. So I really don't care

if I get in it or not. LOL. Be my luck I would drop dead right after I

signed papers. Well with the house are expenses that I just can't keep up

with. Know I still have a plumbing problem, I have maintenance on the house

that needs doing and can't affored that. The garage is cluttered with crap

that needs to go to Salvation army. Have a whole shed part of garage that

needs clening out and getting rid of... Carpet in living room and my bed

room need replacing, probably in Kris's room as well, no carpet in kids

room. Just too many expenses that need to be taken care of and I just don't

have the money to spend. I need a newer car too. Always something. it seems.

Just wanted to post a little bit about Janet. She has not been on the

computer for awhile. Everything is okay. Just some of the usual things

with the side effects of the chemo, but nothing she has not been able

to tolerate. Still some energy concerns and getting her to drink has

been an effort. I hope that this finds everyone doing well,

Prayers for Janet and Larry!!! Those last few rounds of Drano seem to be

the kicker!!! Omigod, how I hate this disease!!! Glenn is " stuck " right now

and no chemo for 5 wks. due to all his other problems...some caused by the

cancer in the liver/vein and some caused by the chemo itself. GI Dr. told me

last night that Glenn would be able to continue with chemo, but I don't believe

it. I haven't spoken to the Onc. lately, so don't know what HIS feelings

are. At this point, I just want Glenn's b/p to come back up and stay!!! So he

can get in to a regular bed and out of ICU.

Tell Janet we are all routing for her...hoping her body can continue to

fight for her! And, as a caregiver, I know you need prayers for strength and

you

are getting them, Larry. Close your eyes and " Feel " the strength!!!

Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle
