Guest guest
Well I took III for his 1 month follow up visit & adjustment appt. The whole family has seen improvement, so I asked if they would measure his head. The orthoist said he would, but not to expect dramatic changes. Well this is the same guy that said he didn't know if we would have any correction w/the helmet & if we did it might not be alot, because he's older. They haven't banded any babies this old that this place. He was 14 months old (12 months corrected) when he was banded. Well he's the measurements: Cephalic Index 9/22/06 was 98.6 11/09/06 now 90.0 Cranial Vault Asymmetry 9/22/06 was 12mm 11/09/06 now 10mm Orbitotragial Depth Asymmetry 9/22/06 was 8mm 11/09/06 now 8mm Skull Base Asymmetry 9/22/06 was 7mm 11/09/06 now 4mm He was astonished, he said his head is considered in the norm & that if we stopped now noone would notice. We are going to keep it on for at least 2 to 3 more months. The STARBand helmet does work on older babies!! WE ARE SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS SO FAR!!
