Guest guest Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 I've heard, if you've got the stomach for it, goat's milk is really sposed to be good for you and easier to digest than cow's milk. Personally, I'll pass on the goat stuff, but I've heard that it's sposed to be pretty good. I think it's a personal preference myself.SpiffWillyorca wrote: You can also skip the yogurt and buy the refridgerated live Acidopholus pills...just make sure they stay cold or they'll die... ____________________________ in *HHH* Jerseyopen proximal rny 9/18/015'9"-31yo297/168I'm not a doc-in real life or otherwise.***HHH=hot, hazy, & humid!!! I like goats, they're kinda neat, especially the kids, but I don't want to eat anything that comes from them... ____________________________ in *HHH* Jerseyopen proximal rny 9/18/015'9"-31yo297/168I'm not a doc-in real life or otherwise.***HHH=hot, hazy, & humid!!! Guest guest Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Hi, We can get Feta, Mozzerella, herbed and Brucshetta goat cheese and it is only slightly different than cow cheese. Feta is good to use as usual as is Mozz: the Herbed and Brucshetta are great on crakers. I use goat milk in my tea and it has a slightly different feel on the tongue, almost gritty. Since I have been on this regime I not longer have the asthma problems so it does serve its' purpose of letting me have tea with milk in it and that for this limey is a must. It is also nice to have a cheese and cucumber sandwich because without it I would not be able to. Guest guest Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Don't apologize, I feel the same way, but offered it up. There's alot of people around here that are milking them now, cheaper to keep than cows and a way lot easier to take care of I guess. I'd rather stick with cows tho......lol SpiffWillyorca wrote: I've heard, if you've got the stomach for it, goat's milk is really sposed to be good for you and easier to digest than cow's milk. Guest guest Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Well my cousin has the cows, but I've had cows growing up. He has a black and white one, Holstein, and his name is T-Bone. He gets out quite a bit, but he always stays around. Makes me wonder, ya get a dog neutered, he sticks close to home, it seems to be working that way with T-Bone. He's a steer and he doesn't even come over to my yard, he just hangs around the hay, or lays in front of the fence and looks at Agnes, a Brown Swiss that loves to give kisses. Then there's Capt. McFuzz ( that's what I call him ), he's a mixed breed-mutt steer, and he's got hair that sticks up on the top of his head and he's kind of a tan-taffy color. The cows we had growing up were Herefords, the red and white ones. . Ours were dark like this, not reddish like the ones that are coming out now. They're so mellow, for the most part. I walked up to Half Pint right after she had her calf and all she did was get nervous. Usually that's a death sentence with other cows, they'll run ya right over. When we finally butchered her, she was so fat that we ended up with 8 garbage bags of fat! She wuz CHHUUNNKKEEEE. Spiff ( you know how I do tend to run on about this stuff! LOL )E Gillespie wrote: DerSpiff <mzspiff (AT) yahoo (DOT) com> wrote: SHUDDER.......... ( BBQ GOAT? Call me picky but I'd only eat that if I was on Survivor ) Spiff .
