What a great idea. I hope you don't mind if we steal your idea in Indiana?!

Steal away-- cuz I stole it from Colorado first! :) I think it is a Hands

& Voices standard, so we can do this in every state that has a chapter.

Hey, great to hear from you. We're crazy busy here in Indiana trying to

get the chapter up and running.

Just wanted to share that we had our first annual Mom's Night Inn in

November in a suburb west of Chicago. 26 people attended and from the

feedback we

received, everyone had a blast! We opened up with an introductory game--

everyone had two minutes to get to know a partner and introduce them to the

group. We had an open discussion for an hour, then a break with ice cream

sundaes. The best part was the massages, manicures and the crafts. The moms

stayed

overnight. The next day, we did a power point on " Raising a WASK, Well

Adjusted Successful Kid " and a panel of adults. Each mom took home a gift

bag

filled with an inspirational book, lotion, soap and a manicure pack.

Looking

forward to doing this every year!

just a suggestion, but you might be able to contact a few of the schools (the IN

beauty college, has a nail tech program, and i think the IN business school has

a massage therapy program) to see if the students would be willing to volunteer,

or for a discounted price, (surely less than a professional nail tech or massage

therapist) come to the meeting if you set this up.

It was a lot of fun! Of course I'm not sure which was more enjoyable; having an

entire evening to induldge with other moms, or not having to share my bed at 3am

with my 3 year old....lol

I'm looking forward to it next year.

,

That's just what we did-- we had five students from a massage school that

needed practice hours. Three from a local spa donated their time and we paid

them in tips.
