Guest guest
I have no idea. For over a decade I actually though my issues had absolutely nothing to do with my thyroid. I just took my pill every AM and didn't give it a second thought. About 13 years ago, I started having problems with my blood sugar going up and down all day. I'm not diabetic (far from it) and so I've never been able to get a doctor to understand my complaints. I guess around the same time, the fatigue, headaches, anxiety and everything else started as well. Again, like with E and me, sounds hormonal to me. I've had some good years over the years, but not enough to do the dance of joy LOL. I took a report on Adrenal Fatigue to a doctor about 6 years ago, exclaiming that I had found the EXACT list of my symptoms, right down to the increased energy and sugar tolerance in the evening. He would not even discuss it. I hate that... I guess that’s why all those online test places are so busy. By then I had gained all of my weight back and all he saw was a fat, lazy woman looking for a magic answer. RIGHT? Yep yep yep I guess in a way he was right (except for the lazy part) and I'm still looking for that answer. ME too! When I find it, he and all of the other docs will be the first to know. OK, but let me know first, pretty please?? Otherwise, you know how it goes, one day leads into the next and before you know it a lot of substandard time has passed. I should mention that my mom died the year before and so I'm not sure if my adrenals just never really recoved. The year before that was the best year of my life. I was 40 years old, had slimmed down again, took up skiiing, hiking etc. and felt great pretty much all of the time. That was me 4.5 years ago — dropped 20 lbs, active, alert, etc... And then when I got dx with the hashi and hypo, the weight came on, the energy and sex drive went down hill, it was a mess. The last 13 are pretty much a blur. My last marriage of 9.5 years was like that — maybe part of it iS depression... Just thinking out loud here. The food thing is the hardest, especially when you're trying to cut back. I'm starving about 2 hours after I eat, and if I don't eat something then, soon I will feel just terrible and won't be able to put a sentence together. Mini meals are great for that. Just make sure you have protein with each snack/meal. I am on a low glycemic diet and I'm very careful about what I eat, but it doesn't seem to matter. Same for me. I want to give up sooo bad — for three years I have been chasing my tail — and for as big as it’s getting I should be able to find it! LOL! My glucose at the docs office was 72 after breakfast, so you can guess it was lower before that. One doc even read my blood sugar at 62 while I was in his office at 2PM and never said a word. I didn't know at the time what the range was, so I didn't say a thing but at that point I hadn't even started feeling unwell. I should have stayed another hour, but I hadn't brought food and had to rush home as soon as I was done. Today, I can't leave the house without food in my purse... Judy Hmmm, sounds like hypoglycemia... I get light headed and spacey and edgy and shaky if I haven’t eaten... I always thought I meant that I was an impatient pig...i swear to God, I did... Never realized it could be physiological... Sheesh! sue
Guest guest
Oh you guys are too sweet! Ya, it CAN look nice...if you know how to manage it!LOL And I'm not real good at that. It's hussy hair either way!LOL Ya, there's lots of times I wanted to cut it off, but if I did I'd look like Buckwheat on crank and I also think I'd look older. My face is round-ish, more round than normal right now unfortunately, so it'd look even rounder. Have you tried the Aussie shampoo, it's dual personality I think it's called. Really good stuff. I've had problems with the frizzies, and I think that's just a curse for having curly hair, but I've found that it really helps out! You sound just precious, glasses and braces, awww!!! And about zits, I get them too, my skin is naturally oily. It'll help me when I get old, but it's not so hot now. That and I think it comes from the hormone thing we've got going too. Dove has some stuff out now that works really well. Around my eyes gets fine lines if I don't watch it, but I can have acne on my cheeks, go figure. That Dove cleanser works good and it smells good too. Just wet your hands and face, goop some out onto your hands and work it into a lather and rub it on your face, massage it around some and what I do is rinse it off with warm water first, rinsing your towel each time, then I rinse it off with cold water next. That gets any of the suds that are stubborn and it also closes the pores. Seems to work good for me. Let me know how you like it if you try it! Guest guest
Ya it reaallly was! A couple days ago I went to make the veggies again and since I've never bought asparagus before I was pretty shocked to find it's $5 a bunch, so I went with a can. The stuff in the can was absolute MUSH, but the pups liked it. I just went ahead and roasted the baby carrots and zukes.SpiffJustYourTypeDTP wrote: YUM! sueOn 9/5/06 11:05 AM, "DerSpiff" <mzspiff (AT) yahoo (DOT) com> wrote: Ya, she invited me over on sunday and I think she tried to kill me!
