Guest guest
Well we went to see Dr. H today. He said that Tommy does have atypical clubfoot but he still is confident that he will be able to treat him nonsurgically. He said that he will probably do tenotomies earlier than usual and then continue weekly casting. This will bring up the feet a bit and therefore help the casts to stay on. He feels the casts are slipping because of the small fat feet and the severity of the equinous deformity. Those sausage feet have NO ankles at all. Then when we get to 70 degree rotation he will probably repeat the tenotomy. Once again I feel hopeful and know I am in good hands. It is amazing how much he admires Dr. Ponseti...you can hear it the way he speaks about him. It looks like it will take some time but we are going to fix this. Thanks again for all the kind words. ...was this what they did with ? Marilouise, It was nice to see you and the birthday sweetie. How did everything go? How did it work out with the shoes?
