Guest guest
This is supposed to be the one place in the world where we get along, and in all of this mess in my home state of NY, as well as nearby PA and DC, that was one of the only things that gave me solace, that at least in forums such as this one, the whole world could come together and support each other. I'm staying out of the political parts of this discussion, except to say that there are many more terrorist attacks in Israel than ever make the news, and from working for a Jewish organization, and knowing people in Israel through this job, I know that the news coverage in the states is often biased and unfair. America believes what it is told respects what it is told by the news, as it should. The problem is that it's not always 100% accurate. Bombings in Israel are very common, and to tell them to make peace with their enemy IS just the same as telling us to make peace with bin Laden....wasn't I staying out of this? I really meant to, sorry. Love you ALL, Becca

Stations such as Deutschewelle (The Voice Of Germany), Radio Australia, The BBC, Radio Israel, Radio RSA (South Africa), even Radio Moscow and Radio Havana Cuba have interesting English language broadcasts. If you can speak languages other than English, there is even more available. When you hear several different countries saying one thing, then our media either ignores it or reports it differently, it certainly makes you wonder. Guest guest
Huggy can/would you give us examples? Or at least write me off list if you don't want to share with the list... --- Huggy Bear wrote: >> I just popped in to say, if my fellow Americans think we're getting the > truth from our media, get a shortwave radio and hear what you've been > missing. A person is clever. People are stupid. Large groups of people (especially general populus will almost always believe anything they are told. The best example of this is " America was targetted because it is the brightest beacon for freedom in the World " . People believe this is the only reason. Words fail me.
