Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the New England

Brace Company Manchester, NH, my daughter was fitted with Dorr,

she seems very nice and well informed, however with all of the reading

I have been doing here I realize that no matter what brand band you

use it is ultimatly the orthotist that will effect the success. Any

input will be appreaciated! Thank you!

Hi,

I don't have any experience in NH with bands. my parent live in

Hampton, so we visited there over the summer while sydney was wearing

hers. I remember at that time there were 2 moms from NH in the group,

so hopefully you'll get a response.

I hope that things go well with Ella's band.

Hi ,

I live in NH, outside Portsmouth but we go to Manchester for most of our doctor's appointments. I didn't really care for the feedback I received from other parents in this area (NH and MA) who have had their children banded. So we decided to take our daughter down to Connecticut (3 hour trip each way) to the nearest Cranial Technologies office. She received her first DOCband on Aug 30... and she will receive her second band this Monday. She was 10 months though when she got banded since many of the cranio specialists around here gave us the run around, so we kind of expected she would have to wear a second one (her facial asymmetry was pretty pronounced). We have seen a lot of improvment with her head, her ears are only 1mm offset now!!! And her forhead bossing is gone. We are just waiting for the last spot on the back left side of her head to fill in... the flattest area from the beginning, which we hope will help her cheek asymmetry. We have been very pleased with CT in Connecticut.. and for us, it has been worth the drive and committment.

I would ask the orthotist you see how many kids she has banded. Ultimately, that is what helped us make our decision. We realized that CT had the most experience, esp since that's all they do. I don't think banding is very common in NH, since most doctors around here aren't up to date on plagio and banding... so I wasn't too comfortable with having her banded by orthotists who didn't have a lot of experience. With that said, the places my daughter would have been banded at were in MA and Nashua, NH... so I can't speak specifically to the company you mentioned.

HTH!!

Best wishes,

Colleen
