I've been hearing that Chemo can through you into Menapause, has anyone experienced this. I'm 46 and I'm sure I've already started the night sweats. I start Chemo on Tuesday and I'm wondering which drugs to watch out for regarding this menapause onset. They told me the last 5 sessions of the 30 treatments are high beam aimed at my lumptectomy and scar. Is the the usual procedure? I just thought they were a little higher dose. Also I was advised to begin tamoxifen 2 weeks after rads and there is no other choice for me since I still get my periods monthly. Did anyone out there take anything else other tham tamoxifen while still getting theri periods. I just hate all those side effects that I have been reading about. Also how soon after rads do you go for a mammogram? Thanks for you support- this group is the best!
