Guest guest
Hi Jenn, I'll be praying for you. Hang in there, Mabel RAI tomorrow!! Hello everyone! My RAI is scheduled for tomorrow and believe it or not, I am looking forward to it!?!? I just can't wait to get somewhat back to normal. I have been off any meds for 3 weeks and no synthroid since April 15th!! I will be sent home for my isolation. I had a hard time sleeping last night with my mind floating with " preparation " of our tiny apartment! I started to get a little panicky actually and I feel pretty nervous. I am mostly nervous about the radioactivity affecting my husband. I'm sure it will be fine as long as I stick to the " rules " . I just stop and breathe and pray that God will see me through all this (and I know He will!) Just wanted to say thanks for everyones input and support in this group and I will post next week when I am free from radioactivity and back on my meds and of course eating REAL food (can't wait for my pizza! though I was sad to see that I might not really be able to taste for a while.) My brain is so floopy!! See ya on the other side and keep my in your thoughts and prayers! I will keep any of you going through the treatment in prayer as well! Thanks! Jenn Arlington, TX TT 4/2/03 2.6cm papillary cancer RAI TOMORROW! Scan should be Friday!
Guest guest
Hi Jenn, > My RAI is scheduled for tomorrow and believe it or not, I am looking > forward to it!?!? I just can't wait to get somewhat back to normal. I was like you, excited and happy it would soon be over! I had all sorts of cool things to keep me busy during isolation - pick up sticks, Jacks, a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle, coloring books. Try those when you're hypo! VERY funny! It was fun and I felt borderline nutty, very acceptable behavior when you're in isolation anyway. I was in the hospital for mine. No matter where you are you can have an ok time with the right entertainment. > I just stop and breathe and pray that God will see me > through all this (and I know He will!) And we'll be sending up some prayers, too! Enjoy your first pizza. I'll be thinking of you.
