Guest guest
Do you guys only use the FM system at school? Do any of you use one in a church class for you kids? My son 2.2 yrs old I wonder if having one in his children church would help him hear better in there, there usually is two or three other kids in there. WHat are other times you use them? Did you have the purchase it yourself or does insurance cover any of the cost? I was told when he went to school the district would buy one, but it would have to stay at school, it would not be his to take home? > > From: JillcWood@... > Date: 2005/10/28 Fri AM 07:19:38 EDT > To: Listen-Up > Subject: Re: FM's, how young? > > Hollie Hutchings
Guest guest
Our teacher said 70% of Ians learning is coming from home. So he NEEDS it there. We are offering to sign a waiver and insure the FM system so that we can take it home. Guest guest
He would wear it at home all the time. Our house is rarely quiet with me doing daycare at home. Tawnya Re: Re: FM's, how young? > > Hollie Hutchings
Guest guest
My daughter is only 16 mos old and we're getting an FM system at her next appt in November. She isn't in daycare. It's just for our use at home. I'm excited and also not really looking forward to learning a new technology. The little boot fits on her hearing aid so she doesn't even know it's there. The teacher wears the microphone or it is set next to the computer or it is passed around the class at group time and apparently Grace really perks up when it's being used. And all her classmates love talking into the microphone! I think they might be doing a karaoke day just for Grace next week! BTW, it makes the battery run down a whole lot faster. I seem to replace that battery more often than the other one. Cherie All messages posted to this list are private and confidential. We don't, but that's because it's a pain to borrow it from the school every week. They are good about the few times I've asked to borrow it though. Since I teach 's religion class, we go over the lesson either before or after class(I usually try to do it before hand but life gets in the way).
