Topper () I have to wonder then, why they sell “cuticle remover” and those “pushy sticks” and cuticle cream, etc... I had to go shopping this evening and while getting some tooth paste wandered over to the nail section and there’s tons of stuff to push back cuticles-- and I am having “flashbacks” of my mom telling me about this oh, about 40 or so years ago... If I never push back my cuticles, or “do” my nails, wouldn’t that make them “messy” and not as “good” as they could be from proper grooming? Just thinking out loud here...Thanks for your inputSue All-new Yahoo! Mail - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster. Guest guest
I think willyroca is RIGHT too — the more I read, you are NOT supposed to trim back cuticles, so what the heck is up with these and many other brand of CUTICLE CLIPPERS? Ugh! Maybe REVLON...wants you to get sick so they can get more profits on pharmacy items...or something like that. I love the post from willyroca though. VERY nice!!! ~E:) JustYourTypeDTP wrote: I never heard that about cuticles being llke gaskets... Wow. Wonder why Revlon and others make these...? Guest guest
“spif” em up for the moons, spiffy, for the moons Or as I did, just out of curiosity... Won’t be mooning again any time soon. It does hurt and it’s not “safe” or healthy... We need our cuticles intact. Sue I think it's pretty much a fru-fru thing. I chew my nails, so why bother to fru them up with cuticle cream ya know? I had the gel nails for a while and finally had to rip them off cuz I couldn't afford to keep them up. Now my nails are grown long and look healthy. I don't mind pushing back the cutical and using lotion to soften them. They look pretty good considering everything. Its the wrinkled skin I hate. I had beautiful skin before they destroyed it. ~E:) TOTAL-Thyroidectomy 26 months post-op. Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less. Guest guest
My cuticles are kept pushed back all the time, and I only have the nice thumb moons, plus the other couple I mentioned. I do, however, have allergies and asthma, so back to the oxygenation theory. Downright scary, I think. Re: mooning in Texas I think it has to do with nail care... Cuticles grow OVER the moons. I am loosening mine up now and moons are appearing.Sue
