If remember correctly, I think the c-section was more painful but my kids were

born 35 and 31 yrs. ago. I had open RNY. You can control your own pain meds

as needed.

questions...

Hello Everyone,

I am eager to know if anyone has had a c-section prior to having

WLS. If so, which one was most painful? Also, I see a lot of

messages with " LOL " , what does that stand for? I thought it meant

lots of love but then I see it in sentences where that wouldn't

necessarily make sense. Finally, I am 5'5, 250lbs and pre-op. I have

a consult with the surgeon on 2/27/2003. I really want to be

approved for this surgery. Well, just thought I would give a little

background info on myself. This is my first time posting here.

Thanks!

Rose

Hi and Welcome......

Im new to the group also. I live in N.Y. and had RNY in July!!! For me,

the first month was the hardest . Time passes and I feel great now.

I was very lucky..no complications,I lost 30lbs. prior to surgery and

about 75lbs since surgery .Im pretty happy so far, I wish it was more....

I didnt think I would feel like this but...well, I do. I had a freak

accident 6weeks ago and was in a cast on my right leg FOREVER!!!!!!

iT REALLY SUCKED. I had to basically start over again with walking

etc.... I'll get there again. Nasty weather hasnt helped as im sure you

have been dealing with too. Wont it be the BEST spring ever!!!!!!

good luck and keep in touch

--- Hi, I'm Lynn, in Virginia. I see Vitalady.com listed here a lot,

I use them also, since my surgery a year ago. I just found this

group a few days ago. Looks like you have a very nice family here.

Hi Rose. Welcome. I had 2 c-sections prior to my WLS. I had an open RNY. My

2nd c-section hurt more than the first. I blamed it on being older. I would

say the WLS was worse than the c-sections for me because the incision is up

higher so you feel it more when you're bending, trying to lay on your side and

such. But it is survivable. Don't psyche yourself into being too scared. By

the way, LOL means laughing out loud. And another one, is ROTF - rolling on the

floor, so ROTFLMBO is rolling on the floor laughing my butt off. Some use an A

instead of B but I bet you can figure out what that stands for! That's it for

your internet lingo lesson today. Take care.

They ARE a nice family. They get to scrapping a little, like a real family, of

course, but usually the " guiding " is done in love. The mean spirited just don't

stick around.
