Guest guest
Kathleen & all, I'm still here with you and I won't give up even though sometimes I feel like it is "hopeless." I know when I'm so down I shouldn't say anything or report my roll call till the next day when I'm feeling better about myself I just slipped up. I DO know one thing, if it wasn't for y'all here on the loop I would defiantly have given up before now. Your support means a lot to me and keeps me going. Guest guest
Whew, ! I'm glad you're sticking with it. I'd hate to have to face the old " devil machine " alone. That would be a sad day for me. I also feel like giving up on my " lifestyle change " (diet) every now and then. But the difference between the two of us, is that I'm smart enough not to say it in front of Melody!!!!!!!!!! Haha! I will stay with this. I now have my daughter and son-in-law working the old scales. They are doing quite well. So you see I can't quit!!!!!!!!!! Not only am I competitive, but I feel like it is up to me to set a good example. Guest guest
We care about you and you know we all have good and bad days. We just have to keep at it. One bad meal or even a whole bad day won't ruin us unless we use it as an excuse to keep doing it. I took 's idea of a cheat day and made it a treat day. Once a week I have whatever I want for one meal or one snack and I do it without guilt. It has really helped through a lot of temptations because I just save it for my treat. Usually when treat time comes I don't even want it anymore. Treat day next week will be Thanksgiving day and I will have a piece of pumpkin pie and stuffing and gravy. I can skip the sweet potatoes because I don't like them and I just read about green bean casserole so that's not ever going past these lips again. The point is don't beat yourself up over a slip. Guest guest
I stole your pics Melody....'cuz this fits my roll call to a T!!! I gained a whopping 3 pounds! I worked my butt off and this is what I get! I am pi*#@d! We weighed in this morning (Wed.) instead off on Thursday night. I ALWAYS weigh more in the morning...I don't know why! Every time I have weighed in the A.M. I always show a gain. Sorry Team.....I did everything else, drank my water, walked and exercised, food journal, tortured my Tops pal, challenged my partner. I want so much to lose a total of 60 pounds for the year...but my body has other ideas! I can't seem to get that extra 10 pounds I wanted off to stay off! I am so frustrated I could just spit nails! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hugs,

Guest guest
Thanks Clara, you are too sweet. That's what I love about this loop.....we all understand each other so well. I'm still blue over this gain, but I will not give in. I'm cooking a very small meal for tomorrow and will stay sensible. Have a Happy Thanksgiving. Guest guest
LOL, Clara! Believe me I did not starve myself. For one thing I can't because I'm diabetic. I cooked a moderate meal for thanksgiving....turkey, small bit of dressing, green salad and corn. I only made 1 pumpkin pie, but didn't eat any of it. I did make 2 low cal low carb desserts and had a spoon of each for my dessert. I did gain 3 pounds last week and I think it was fluid, so hence the big loss. I did quite a bit of shopping and walking and parking in the far part of the parking lot and it sure paid of! Hugs, -- Re: 's roll call WOW!! BRENDA!! Eight pounds is awesome!!
