Guest guest
Enjoy Patch , I had that movie for a while but I think it got lost in a move at some point. Was an excellent movie. My college back home, Morehead State Univ in KY, made the medical students watch it (or at least some of them, I had two roommates who were pre-med and they had to watch it and write a paper on it, I had to watch it for a sociology class). I never turn down a ride I miss having a car, we only have one between us, but it's such a small place there isn't much sense in spending more money on a vehicle just for me when I don't really have the desire to drive since the accident anyway. I have been doing better, driving some just here closeby, to the store and back and such, but haven't been brave enough to drive out in town yet, they have such narrow little roads and tons of traffic on them. *shudder* NO thanks! www.Lane.com www.IwakuniMCAS.com http://stewartlane.com/gallery/ Be sure to check at the bottom of every set of pictures for more pages in the set. Guest guest
does anyone else who is hypo hate to drive??? i used to love it but since 'the great hypo crash of 99' i just don't care for driving... before then, man you couldn't keep me home and i would drive 12-13 hours round trip (6 up, 6 back) once a month to nc... and when I was stuck in traffic and that made it 15 hour round trip.. i didn't care.. lol. maybe it just comes from not having enough energy all those years to 'worry about it'. now i can drive by myself but i like having someone else with me, you know 'just incase' but i just don't have as much excitement about it as i used to. i remember at one point when my levels were really like fish (crappy) , i could barely hold my arms in my lap and drive LOL. ahhh the *good* ol days LOL (yes, i'm being sarcastic... do you know your andrea to be any other way??) hehe Re: finally have yahoo messenger Oh yeah, I can relate to that.... always take advantage of the ride! Guest guest
I have been facing that issue for a few years now. I don't recall when it really started. As a young woman I drove all over the place and never gave it a second thought, but now I hate to drive anywhere, especially if I'm alone. A couple years ago, I drove to a store that was about 5 miles away. It was such an ordeal that I was actually proud of myself when I got back home. How pathetic is that! It really bugs me, and I do just ignore it and force myself sometimes, but there is definitely no desire. I don't think I'm afraid of getting lost. I put my kids in the car a few years ago and drove from Detroit to Nashville without batting an eye. I personally don't think it has anything to do with my thyroid, since I was hypot long before this other affliction stuck me. We're going to buy a second car in the new year, so that I can work on this some and get my butt out of the house some days. At least it will take away the excuse and I many find out some day what the heck is really going on. I think it has more to do with the hypoglycemia because it makes it so difficult to concentrate sometimes... JudyP does anyone else who is hypo hate to drive??? i used to love it but since 'the great hypo crash of 99' i just don't care for driving... Want to start your own business? Learn how on Yahoo! Guest guest
I lost my thrill of driving as well – and only like to go on “roads less traveled” these days. Guest guest
Mine just stems from the accident. I have some paranoia about being in lots of traffic. If there's not much traffic I'm fine. My rear-ending happened at lunch-time rush in ville. www.Lane.com www.IwakuniMCAS.com http://stewartlane.com/gallery/ Be sure to check at the bottom of every set of pictures for more pages in the set. Guest guest
I love my CR-V so that’s not it. sue You all just need to get really cool cars & you'll WANT to drive again....lol. I used to have a 69 Mustang with Real chrome spoke wheels & brown (yuck) metallic paint !! It had a Windsor 3....something, can't remember the engine size right now. It hauled a....... you barely touched the pedal & away she went & everywhere you went people looked at your car. The funniest part to me was the jealous looks from people in really expensive cars. I used to think, " Are you crazy? You could have 10 of my cars for what you paid for that !! " I got it at a classic car auction for 5000. I was the second owner so it was in great shape. I miss it. I had spent 1500. trying to get the A/C to work so hubby made me sell it. It lives in Utah now , no need for A/C there unlike Las Vegas !! I recently got to drive the 2006 mustang convertible, oh my goodness was it nice. We were moving cars from the old auction building to the new one. I got to drive a Jaguar too. I'll take the convertible Mustang over the Jag any day !!! Cindy Sue -->
