Guest guest
It might just be a tiny change you need to make. It could just be the portion size, or some type of food group that is not helping. But if most of your weight is not around the wasit - that is healthier re potential Type 2. Its a good book - best I have found !! > > > > > > > > > > > Sue, I was like you too - could handle the high protein diets when > > younger but not now. But also stack weight on with carbs. Guest guest
I keep a bag of baby carrots on hand if I get the munchies after supper. It seems to work pretty good. Spiffliliane wise wrote: The calory content of strawberries is irrelevant. They are goitrogens, and can make some hypos (like me) very ill. Do you not think that 6pm is a little late for your last meal of the day ? That makes for a very long night. It's not a good idea to go for so long without food, as Topper keeps saying. Try having a protein/vegetable snack around 8/9pm. That would help your HGH and melatonine production, which in turn might help you with your weight.Lili>From: jytdtp <justyourtypedtp (AT) earthlink (DOT) net>>Reply-To: The_Thyroid_Support_Group >To: <The_Thyroid_Support_Group >>Subject: Re: Re: carbs, fat and hypo>Date: Sat, 05 Aug 2006 19:28:01 -0500>>>I have no ill effects after eating strawberries. Guest guest
ooooohya, there's another thing you can do with cukes too, tastes real good. Take like a pyrex bowl, that works best, chop up a cuke in slices, fill the bowl half full with water, put in like a 1/4 glug of good quality oil, about a T of apple cider vinegar and salt and pepper to taste. My gramma used to put onions in too. If you can, let it sit overnight. The only thing I have a beef with this is, my ice cubes end up tasting like cukes. Not so good. I need to get some saran wrap and I think that'll cure that little problem. We call these "slicers", pretty much like pickles, or cheater pickles anyhow Spiffjytdtp wrote: HI Spiff,Now Pickles are something I love — I will try that, thanks!I was eating cucumber and vinegar and that did help so maybe I will go back to that. Thanks!SueOn 8/5/06 12:00 PM, "DerSpiff" <mzspiff (AT) yahoo (DOT) com> wrote: I find that if I eat a pickle, that helps the carbs craving.
