Guest guest
I'm so glad you found a good doctor that checked everything out. Although the hip/leg problem sounds serious, I'm sure it is important that you find it now. Especially if it is something your first doctor missed. The band is really easy once you get past the first week or two. The hardest part may be the travel) not sure if you're in Memphis, or it is a drive. Lots of people have to appeal to get insurance coverage for their band. We were lucky that ours was covered 100% upfront - that is pretty unusual. Good luck with everything and let us know what happens next. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > ok we went to the dr. today and i absloutley love her!anyways we went > for 1 more x-ray, she said she did have to get the helmet, and she > said your insurance IS going to turn you down the first time, but > then ill talk to them and they will approve it, dont worry, and she > said shed make it kinda fast, but we would have to cat scan before > thats the ruls of the insurance co. and thell do it in memphis, and > shell get helmeted in memphis, and she thinks shel have to wear it > for 4-6 months. > > she also did her physical and said she was 16 pds ansd 26 inches > long, but her muscle tone is down , way down. so she want her to see > a physical therapist. she was looking at her legs, and she noticed > that...her rt leg is about a centimeter longer than the other, so > shes going to have to go get a ultrasound done on her hip. she thinks > that it happened when i had her, it might have poped out of place and > my first dr. didnt notice it. i was really upset, so shes got to go > to jackson hospital for a specialist to do that. i feel like i was > prepared for anything to day and then now i feel horrible..for her, > my heart is broken for her. i asked her if shed have any problams, > she said yes, this is a very serious thing.im so scared any ways, if > anyone reads this, please reply about any of it, and please go check > her photos and reply on them to ok. thanks ladys...her album name is > a Rushing. > > misty rushing >
Guest guest
Hi Misty- Glad to hear that you've at least gotten the helmet/plagio situation under control. I did look at 's photos when you first posted them and think she would definitely benefit from the helmet. So it sounds like you're doing a great thing there. I'm sorry to hear about her hip problem. Did the doctor mention the phrase " hip dysplatia " ? That's what it sounds like to me, but since you didn't mention an official diagnosis, I can't be sure. We have a family history of hip dysplatia and would be happy to fill you in on some things if that is what she may have. I don't want to get into it without knowing for sure though, so just let me know and I can email you what my mother-in-law and brother-in-law went through. I hope everything works out for you. Hang in there!
