Abnormal BG Levels Due To Illness

I am at my wits end. I have been fighting one infection after another

and my bg levels are too high for my liking. How long should it take

to have more normal readings after an illness? My healthcare team is

telling me to stop testing so often because it is raising my stress

level, making the bgs even higher. I went to bed last night with a

reading of 109 and got up with a fasting level of 143. Are these

numbers unreasonable when an infection is present?
