Hi,

Sounds more like you passed a huge clot. And when I say huge, I mean huge! The

way you describe your bleeding, it sounds like a good possibility. More will

come so be prepared. Your bleeding will get worse and worse, floods and big

clots, longer...

You need to check for anemia ASAP if you haven't. Slow FE iron and vitamin C.

Ask for both a ultrasound and saline ultrasound, you can get them on the same

day. You may want a MRI too. INSIST on this! BC pills can make things worse and

if it is a fibroid, BC pills won't stop the bleeding in all cases. It would

depend on your fibroid. BC pills is just a short term solution at best. Your

fibroid is still there and will grow.

You may want to get a RE doc to check this all out.

Your 11 months turned into 3+ years for me. I had to demand every test and then

go to another state for my myo. If and of these stupid docs would have caught it

at the first, a simpler resection would have been easily done.

Don't just continue down this road. It ends up with severe anemia, constant

bleeding and trips to the ER. Demand it be taken care of now. Also don't let

your doc bully you into a hyst because they lack the skills to do a myo or won't

tell you about UAE.

You have support here.

to say, my last visit to the Doctor resulted in her wanting me to take the pill.

I have tried to ask for an ultrasound and further tests, but feel pushed to

take the pill, which I will not do until I have some solid information. Does

anyone have a good Doctor

to share with me in the Bay Area? Has anyone has had this happen to them?

Hi Ku,

Thank you, truly. Nice to not feel alone. I know it

might sound like a clot, but it wasn't. I get them

too. And the periods that are endless. It was the size

of a deflated apricot with a little stem. Completely

intact, I was a bit freaked out and really checked it

out. About the anemia, I most definitely have, I am

working hard at trying to get that under control.

Thank you for all the info, I am going to another

Doctor next week, fully armed with info. Hugs,

.

Hi ,

I was told that I havea submucous fibroid by my GYN

but I think I may have a pedunculated fibroid instead,

based on my research. Of course, she recommended

hysterectomy. I will see doctor Indman in Los

Gatos tomorrow for second opinion. I've heard he is

good. I'll let you know after the appt.

As for anemia, my doctor prescribed a strong dose of

iron. You may need that.
