Guest guest
Honestly, it sounds arrogant and irresponsible. Obviously from everything that we've read about clubfoot and Dr Ponseti's Method his procedure is not just a basic simple procedure. He's still working on it and he's been at it since 1940. You're right we don't know her or her credentials but just because she's an ortho, that doesn't necessarily mean she's perfected the art of correcting clubfeet or doesn't need further guidance or additional training. If the principles were so " basic " why aren't all doctors having the same success rate? number23 number23@...> wrote: What worries me though is this seems to be the type of doctor who is/will " modify " Dr. Ponseti's Method. I'm not here to bash the doctor, obviously I don't know her or her work, etc., it's just concerning to me to call herself a Ponseti Method dr. but she's not trained, nor willing to train for his true method. s. Re: Fw: Ponseti Doctor? I think her tone sounds a little defensive....which I think is pretty normal...especially with doctors who have not received any formal training in the method. I have not been to Iowa to train with him - the vast majority of specialty trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeons do not need to spend time with Ponseti as the principles are basic to our practice of medicine. > > E.
