Guest guest
Hi Nanc I had ulcers, and I remember even drinking WATER hurt. My stomach would cramp up like labor pains. I used Prilosec twice a day, which healed the ulcer. I have had two of them in fact. It's nothing to mess with. Take the meds, give it about 10 days. Stick to bland foods, nothing spicy. No milk, but keep the protein shakes made with water only and ice, going. Stay away from acidic foods/juices. Stay away from NutraSweet, as that can cause the cramping too. I didn't have diarrhea with mine, but everyone is different. If within 10 days you still have symptoms, call the surgeon again and get scoped. Guest guest
Hi Nanc - What did you eat right before you had these horrible symptoms? If this is a one-time occurrence, I'd blame it on something you ate rather than an ulcer. I take precription strength Pepcid twice a day, so I think the Zantac may also be a good choice for you. Hope you feel better. Jeanne in WI Age 39 Open RNY - 5/21/02 Dr. Chua 5'7 " - 314/218/150-
