Guest guest
Yes Astrid Lindgreen wrote Pippi Longstocking and whilst fun they are not my favourite of her's. Emil from Lonneberg are my fav and (correct me if I am wrong) but I am pretty certain she also wrote my all time fav children's book. The Brothers Lionheart.. Lonnie Mama to Phoebe and Eloisa The answer probably lies some place between chocolate and conversation.

The Brothers Lionheart.. Yess!!!!! Why do you think my daughter is called EMILIA... Emil was just the very cutest, charming, little boy... always up so something wild like raising his little sister up the flag pole, or feeding the house pig with punch... with the best intentions, of course... She is living up to her name already, at the weekend we left her upstairs with her mate (6 months older) for 20 minutes and they were all covered from top to tow with yellow highlighter when they came down. Now, why do I just KNOW that it was her idea... The Lionheart brothers were fabulous too, more serious, but such a rich story of fable and love, heartbreaking, really. Think I have read it seven times. Now, that's praise from a Norwegian (always competing with the Swedes...) Karina Mum to Emilia (Oct 98) and Sebastian (Aug 00)
