I'm afraid I am of the " get on with it " motherhood.

I lay them down (not face down, I'm not that cruel!!!) even in a very small

amount of water wet hair, shampoo and rinse. I use a small amount of water so

that I can hold them with one hand and then wash with the other.

So far 3 of them have survived this treatment when they haven't wanted their

hair washed. I only wash once a week unless very necessary, and I am waiting for

DS3 to go through his phase on passed experience it shouldn't be long as he is

14 months now..

Good luck.

Phyllis, you can get those visors here and I have one you're welcome to -

we've never got on with it. If you'd like it, mail me your address and I'll

stick it in the post.

(DS1) used to hate having his teeth cleaned, and it used to

take two of us to do it: one to hold and one to brush. I used to feel

so guilty that i was torturing my child in this way... :-(

My two hate it too. However when DH does it, he is good at turning it

into a game. eg. after the shampoo has been rubbed in he says " who

wants to be a goat/cow/puppy? " and duly arranges the hair to stick up

in an appropriate manner. Makes the other one laugh and they have fun

(until rinsing of course but that is over quite quickly!)
