Guest guest
hey you did the right thing!! life keeps on going and we have to do what we can, there's always tomorrow, we eat tuna salads when we blow it and that seems to make up for it, Debbie Good day that turned bad I started out today with a really good workout, and I felt great about it afterwards. But when I got to work and turned on my cell phone, I found two voice mail messages from my wife, one panicky and the other not so panicky. Turns out one of our cats, our oldest and 's first, died this morning. was in tears all day long, but I was pretty good until I got home and buried the cat. We buried her inside the cardboard box she used to love to curl up in, in the flower bed where she loved to roll around in the dirt, next to the grass that she loved to eat. As I was patting down the soil over her grave, I couldn't hold it in anymore and I just broke down into tears. It was kind of annoying, because, you know, the guy's not supposed to be upset about these things. My very manhood was at risk. Anyway, after the cat's funeral, thoughts of Core went down the tubes, I'm afraid. We had pizza for dinner, and ice cream for dessert. I guess I probably used up all my Flex Points for the week, but sometimes you need the comfort food. -- Slainte, S. Guest guest
I am so sorry for your loss. Kitties become our children in many ways. We have been blessed with two very cool, unique cats - Dave & Elinor. Neither my fiance or I could imagine our lives w/o them, as our kids would be so sad too. You are in our hearts. Guest guest
Hi ; So sorry to hear about your cat. I have a cat also, and she is 11 years old...healthy, I think, but who ever knows. You did not do anything wrong. I understand perfectly. Sometimes comfort food is all that helps us in bad times. That is why they call it comfort food. I think it is so wrong that we are brought up to believe guys aren't supposed to have feelings and be upset, when bad things happen. It's definitely all right to cry. You saved yourself a couple of ulcers. Today's a new day. Make some of that W.W. vegetable soup that is in the book, and no points per serving, and pig out. It's good! Hope your day is better today. Guest guest
oooh how terrible! I'm hugging my cats right now. Sorry to say, sometimes you do need comfort food. I don't know if I'll ever get to the point I won't, some people do, some don't. You two take care of yourselves! It's going to be hard for a bit and a little pampering isn't out of the question. Just make sure it isn't all pizza and ice cream. ;^) Message: 15 Date: Mon, 04 Oct 2004 21:03:24 -0700 From: Crawford > Subject: Good day that turned bad I started out today with a really good workout, and I felt great about it afterwards. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry to hear about your kitty. I had four dogs but, two died from old age and I was devastated each time so I understand what your family went through. When my eldest poodle died last December, my step dad picked her up and held her as he cried like a baby. Like you, we buried her in the back yard and I still miss her. I've had all of our dogs since they were puppies and so far, they are averaging about 15-16 years old. I probably would've eaten my favorite foods too but, today is a new day!! A little exercise today will probably help to even out what you ate yesterday so you'll still have a good week in the end. :-) Cheryl _____ From: Crawford Sent: Monday, October 04, 2004 11:03 PM To: serious-weight-watchers Subject: Good day that turned bad I started out today with a really good workout, and I felt great about it afterwards.
