I'm glad to be back too! Man it took forever to set up the cable with

my router last night. Of course I blame Roy.

1. First I connected the cable to the computer and set up the account.

2. Then I checked it to make sure I could get on the Internet.

3. Then, without reading the directions, I connected the cable modem

to the router.

4. Then I swore.

5. Then I fiddled with it.

6. Then I swore some more.

7. Then I did a Google search for " linksys router with comcast cable "

8. I followed a broken link and swore.

9. I followed a good link on a message board and tried that.

10. I restarted the computer likes 98,000 times.

11. I swore some more.

12. I yelled at the dogs.

13. I ranted and railed because I AM CERTIFIED AND I KNOW HOW TO DO THIS!!!

14. I googled another page. Repeat steps 9-11.

15. I googled another page. Repeat steps 9-11 again.

16. I went to the Comcast page. Nuthin'

17. I swore at Comcast.

18. I cursed their dogs.

19. Not my dogs, the dogs that belong to anyone working for Comcast.

20. I went to the Linksys page and searched for help on setting up a

router to work with Comcast. There were clear, succinct, and easy to

follow directions.

21. I followed those directions and they worked..

So I blame Roy.
