Guest guest
Thanks for sharing Clara! I'm very happy to report a loss of 1.50. pound, I'm now five pounds under, staying there is the hard part, but I'm going to take it one day at the time, tops love, Eloy. -------------- Original message from "Clara Gleghorn" : -------------- b Your "flexible" weight goal makes perfect sense to me, Melody! Like I told you, by the time you get to the 200 mark, you'll know more about where you want to set your goal. BTW, I was MUCH older than you were when I got married! I had been 17 for a whole week when I got married - - and I weighed 120 pounds!! Even after I had two kids I only weighed 135 - - - then in 1963 when I started birth control pills (sorry & Eloy), I zoomed up to 180, then gradually climbed over 200 - - and when I joined TOPS in 1978, I was up to 210. From there I lost and gained - and lost and gained - for the next 25 years I went up & down - would get within ten pounds of my goal, and would quit going to my TOPS meetings for one reason or another (working long hours - going to college - - bowling on meeting nights), and I would gain right back up to the 200 mark. When I would hit 200, I'd get panicky and get back on track and lose 20 or so pounds - - then I'd get lax and start gaining again - usually rocking back and forth around the 180# mark - - But in January of 2004 I told myself that I was being totally "foolish" - - (and I'm really sorry they took that word out of the TOPS pledge, because it is soooooooo true), and if I would just lose another 20 pounds to reach goal - and THEN rock back & forth, I could be KOPS and could be proud of myself! So with the help of the South Beach Diet, which is the easiest thing I've ever done - - I reached goal on May 6, and it was such a great feeling to reach goal, be able to buy my size 12 clothes (which was really my goal), to experience the awesome feeling of graduating - - - I can only be sorry that it took me 25 years to get my head on straight and DO IT!!! AND BELIEVE ME, IT IS 99% "IN YOUR HEAD & MINDSET"!!! Well, I didn't intend to preach another TOPS sermon today, but there it is - - - I only wish I could pour some "TOPS DETERMINATION" into EVERYBODY!!! Guest guest
speaking of fitting into dresses... I got the most gorgeous dress today. I need a formal dress for an Eastern Star dinner in January and 's was having a big sale today and there was this dress I simply drooled over. It's black stretchy velvet and the top has pink glitter all over it. And it's a 2X. The sleeves actually fit. Must be lifting those weights. Gee, I hope it's not too big by January. wouldn't that be great?
