It's crazy! ! ! ! Yeah, I once went into a little boutique when I was looking for a dress for a military ball... walked in and didn't see any clothes... nothing but a reception area and curtains leading to dressing rooms. I turned around to walk back out, but not quickly enough. A saleslady asked if she could help me and I was like... 'well, I don't think so, because I was looking for a dress'. She asks me what kind of event I needed it for, and then had me sit down while she went into the back and gathered a couple of gowns. Didn't even ask me what size I was. Guess she could tell I was about a 14 at the time. Anyway, that went on for about 45 minutes... her going to the back and bringing me stuff to try on. I was thinkin', 'okay, we could save a whole lotta time if I could just go back there and look for myself.' LOL. Little to ritzy for me. You'll have to wear your $150 jeans to SRD just so I can tell people.. "Hey, see that guy over there, he's wearin' $150 jeans!!!" :-) hugs, Janet

Guest guest
, I agree with you on the ridiculous prices of makeup! I look at that stuff in the high-dollar department stores and in magazines, and I think, "Gadzooks - - why would anybody pay those prices when they can get just as good with Cover Girl or Revlon at Wally World!" - - - oh well, it's all ego! Like you said, it's just so they can say, "Oh, I buy my makeup at Macy's or Dillard's or Sakowitz some such!" Pants are one thing - it will probably be a one time splurge - - but makeup is for a lifetime!! OH WELL - - that's just my opinion!! Guest guest
I didn't say anything in front of her but I was thinking, "35.00 for some make-up? Oh my gosh!" I know that's not normal because I used to work in the lobby at Kroger and they sold make-up and it was like 5.00 or 10.00 for what she bought. Oh well. To each his or her own. I always bargain shop. But it is nice to splurge once or twice. LOL! I bought a 80.00 shirt at Banana Republic awhile back and I took it to the cleaners and they stained it and took the buttons off of the sleeves for some reason. I have no idea how to put them back on. I am going to take it to another cleaners that is one I have heard of and see if they can get the stain out and fix the buttons. That's why I get for taking it to some hole in the wall place I've never heard of. I am looking forward to getting my 150.00 jeans to go with my 80.00 shirt! LOL! But I have to lose 13.25 lbs. for that to happen. I better get on the ball! Re: Shopping! , I agree with you on the ridiculous prices of makeup!
