Guest guest
Hey, you feel free to ask whatever you need to, we just tend to babble sometimes without thinking others may not have a clue about what we are talking about. Okay, we are having a challenge for the year 2002. Some have already started like me but it's okay to wait until Jan 1 or 2. Joya is spearheading the stats so send your stats into the link she sent earlier or whatever it was she sent (I pay attention..LOL) and start posting your meals and such. Let us know what you need help with. For me, it's snacking on the wrong things and no exercise. Everyone on this list is welcome to join! Guest guest
Mandi.....I am not entirely sure on all the rules and regulations of the various challenges, but we aren't strict on them so don;t worry. We want to get in three days of exercise a week, at least.....I know for sure we are doing induction the straight two weeks (if not more) with NO EXCUSES ALLOWED. The spreadsheets are for you convenience, just to make things a bit more fun, and the weekly weigh in is tomorrow, but will usually be every Monday. At the end of the year we count up the total pounds lost. There are various challenges throughout the year and even PRESENTS are awarded! So stick around, you will have lots of support and fun!' Guest guest
Yes Mandy ask away but do not feel you have to join in the challenge if you do not want to or you can take as little part or all what ever you wish. Norma
Guest guest
I have no idea, Sandy. Everybody whose kidney function drops below 50% starts losing ability to eliminate phosphate. That's why a renal diet is a low phosphorus diet (phosphorus and phosphate can be taken to mean the same thing in this context). The higher level of phosphorus in the blood itself isn't known to be harmful to the kidneys, but it IS known to be harmful to the body in several ways, the main one being that it draws calcium out of the bones, and that eventually causes bone disease. Guai is Ok occasionally as when it's part of a cold medication, but I have no idea what using it regularly for a long time would do. Unfortunately, nephrologists are powerless when it comes to the flank pain many people describe. I've heard other people mention the same thing as you describe with diuretics, though. I don't know what the mechanism for pain is in that case. What are you taking the diuretic for? Guest guest
thanks Pierre My nephro doctor gives me me duiretics, for swelling,,my feet get so big sometimes, I cant wear my shoes,,and my hands swell also, and sting,, when I go to bed at night, my feet are swelled, they go down during the night and my face is swelled, when I wake up,, If I go walking and my hands hang to my side. my hands swell,, I think the people who suggested me taking guai , think you have to take it everyday for a least a year,, I dont think it is a good idea since I have IgAN,, I think it would be too much strain on my kidneys but I wanted to know for sure, Guai, Is recommended by Dr Amand a fibromyalgia doctor for it, thanks so much for your reply > I have no idea, Sandy.
