Guest guest
WOW, nice to see that we have a lot of bird lovers on this list! Anyone else? Well, I need to get my hair dried for my Dr. appt. First time I have washed my hair in a week, just no energy/motivation. After trying so hard to take care of everything else that is important, I have no time or energy left for myself. I sure hope I can get some Armour today!! :-)) Kathy Re: OT - BIRDS I also have birds. I have my baby African Grey. His name is Zeus and he is almost 11 months old.I visited him starting at 3 weeks old until he came home at 3 months old.I also have a IndianRingneck Peanut. She is 7 years old and was a rescue.I had 2 Jenday Conures but they went to a permanent home.I had 4 cocketiels which also went to new homes and 3 parakeets. I just love the birds. Mari
Guest guest
I have a 4 year old all white (but not albino) cockatiel. She used to mimic the oven timer (on the old oven) and she would sing the Andy Griffith theme song. She won't do it much anymore, though. Guest guest
Hi Mari - yes, birds are wonderful companions. I think we should try to talk Caroline into getting one to keep her company! My Grey is 2 and starting to talk up a storm. I would be very lonely without my babies. .....joan

Guest guest
HI, Kathy, I can't remember now if I was ever in this conversation. LOL I'm so far behind. Anyway, I have 6 cockatiels and one lovebird. They are SO sweet. They saw us with cornbread at suppertime and HAD to have some. LOL They love that cornbread. Especially the cockatiels. The lovebird has to have it because everyone else is getting it. You know how that jealousy goes! in Va. WOW, nice to see that we have a lot of bird lovers on this list! Anyone else? Guest guest
She actually has started doing it again within the last week or so. Who know's why. lol. And she used to say 'hello' every time the phone rang. Maybe she will start that again, too. RE: OT - BIRDS Awww, , how precious! I have a 15 year old cockatiel who learned " Pop Goes the Weasel " from our first cockatiel. (He died 7 years ago.) Anyway, someone will whistle it for him every now and then and it gets him going. It's all off key, mind you. Hilarious! Maybe someone can refresh your bird's memory! My lovebird will sometimes burp when she hears someone burp. That's hilarious too. And of course, sneeze or cough and she's got to do it too! in VA. I have a 4 year old all white (but not albino) cockatiel. She used to mimic the oven timer (on the old oven) and she would sing the Andy Griffith theme song. She won't do it much anymore, though.
