Guest guest
I actually posted a message. I think it makes the point. I cringe when I see people less severely affected than I am with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (which I assume this contortionist fellow has) presented as if items of amusement. I could do all these things when I was younger but now I am suffering the consequences of constant pain, joints that won't go back in place and too long a list of other problems. It makes it hard for people who are more seriously affected to be taken seriously by the medical community and general public as the condition is rare and sometimes the one image they have is somthing like the fellow here. That is almost a bigger tragedy than the daily effects of this condition. A laugh isn't a laugh when it is at the expense of someone like me. Producers and hosts need to realize there is a very un-funny side to this (EDS can actually kill people from arteries rupturing, organs rupuring and so on) and just stop showing things like this. It is not at all funny to live with. Joyce
