So sorry to hear that you have been going through so much, but in the beginning I think it has happened to most of us!! I do not know if my pain doc takes Medicaid or Medicare, but I think that my neurologist does and he just did a block for me in his office last week and I got the best results I have ever gotten. My back pain went from a constant 10 the last month or so, to a 4 when he did the block. I also had improvement in my right knee that has the RSD. I love this doctor so much and go back on Dec. 22 for my next injection. I am scheduled for three! He is doing a better job than my pain doc! ever seen and he really knows what he is doing! He was actually asking me all kinds of questions about my heart procedure that I had done in 2000. He seemed very interested in what they had done for me. I do not know if you would like his personality, because I really did not like him in the beginning, but would not see anyone else now. Even my Mom thinks that he is wonderful and he has done more for me than any other doctor and is extremely honest!!!!!! If he does not have an answer for you he will tell you that he does not know and you have to wait and see!!!! This has happened a few times, but I really appreciate his honesty!! Do not make up an answer if you do not know! Well I hope that things go well for you and you get put on some better medication and get someone to do the nerve blocks for you! Please try and give doctor Rosenthal a call. Let me know how it works out for you. If he does not take Medicaid let me know and will give you my pain doctors number and address. Take

Sorry I haven't posted in forever but I've been so busy with lawyers, my new pain management doctor (who is wonderful!) and the main thing of trying to find an anesthesiologist who takes Medicaid to do the sympathetic nerve blocks that Dr Perri ordered for me...Albany Medical doesn't take it and I know damn well they did just last year..I can't get a straight answer from Helen Hospital on whether or not they take it, there is a place in Poughkeepsie who takes it but only if it's secondary insurance which mine isn't so they won't take me, and Orange Anesthesia in Middletown isn't taking new patients and I have no idea how much those blocks cost? Dr Perri also put me on Zanaflex 3X a day and I'll tell you something, talk about super b**ch on wheels from hell!!!!!!! OMG, I had no idea what was wrong with me!! I would actually be getting in peoples faces because they'd piss me off about the stupidest things! I told my pharmacist about

it and he told me that was a bad side effect and to call Dr Perri about it so I actually went there to leave him a note about it cause my next appt with him isn't until the 10th of this month and he called me in and told me to STOP NOW! So I tossed out the bottle and I guess he's going to wait until I see him on the 10th before he gives me something else for pain so whatever Zanaflex is in my system will be out by then...I did have a triple phase bone scan that Dr Perri ordered and that went over like a lead balloon..they couldn't find a vein first off, then when they finally did and got the catheter in, blood started spurting out, I of course had to look and see what they were saying "ah hell" about and when I saw that, I hit the floor and woke up in a bed..I can't handle seeing my own blood...anyone else's I'm fine with, just not my own..Oh and Dawn, do you know off hand if your Dr over there in Poughkeepsie does nerve blocks and if he does, does he take Medicaid?
