Have you used it yet? If so, did your child's skin have any reaction to it? Any noticeable effects on the band? I found some online at Walgreens.com and noticed that the following ingredients were in it: Isopropyl Alcohol (70%) by Volume , FD & C Blue #1 , Lanolin Derivative , Methyl Salicylate (Synthetic) , Water , FD & C Yellow #5. I'm wondering if the colouring or Lanolin would affect the band at all.

Thanks!

My orthotist told us to use Wintergreen Alcohol. It has a wintergreen scent (obviously). He said it cuts down on the smell. That was his advice for a STARband. I'm not sure what you have!

Good news!!!! Hit night 3 and things are back to normal (fingers crossed). slept through the night last night and has been napping well as before.

Yesterday was his first real day outside in the heat. No problems other than the "smell". I cleaned the band with 90% alcohol but it still has an odor. Any ideas???? I was wondering if it pays to take it off every 30 mins or so just to dry it off???

(-DOC banded a whole 3 days/ 67 to go)

Hi there

please ask about the lanolin before using it. I do not see that

being good for the band.

Yes we have tried it and it worked

wonders. It was cleared up in literally hours!!!! Her head is no longer red,

itchy, etc It was fine on the band, no problems. It is funny, I did not need to

do this with Lucas 4 years ago.

Thanks and have a great day,

Don't use lanolin if your child reacts to or is allergic to wool.
