Guest guest
Hi , Welcome and nice to have you with us. I can see how you may be so concerned with your son's health. I've had three pregnancies with lupus and before I even considered going through with pregnancy I have read so much about the possibility of " passing " on lupus. ly, over the years I have read so much contradicting stuff that I really didn't come up with an answer. I've read articles where they said lupus usually skips a generation, then I read it was bull; there was something about a child developing only visible signs within the first year, but it was only a manifestation not the real thing; I read that Lupus cannot be passed on. Please anything goes. Bottom line I think that just as with lupus one may never know what will happen next, the same with whether our children get it as well. From the newest stuff I read it seems that they probably don't, but please do not quote me on that. I don't know how PANDAS will affect Philip with possibly getting Lupus. Please be sure to ask your pediatrician as well as rheumatologist when you do get to see him. Any chance of pushing the visit up to earlier. It's a mighty long time to wait, especially when you're experiencing such symptoms. Good luck and take care. Mojo Just to say Hi > My son was diagnosed with PANDAS this past year, it is a > autoimmune disorder where when a child gets strep throat the bodys > antibodies attack the brain and I'm concerned that if I do have lupus > will he have it or develope it when he gets older.
