Guest guest
I beleive, that it's safer cause it doesn't have any acetaminophen in it, which is bad for the liver if you take it too much. Other than that, I don't know.
Guest guest
Hi, I am also just curious. Isn't diphenhydramine HCI the antihistamine itself? Guest guest
Yes, but it helps a person sleep also. S. Re: Rotating medications? Guest guest
well, I don't know. But, my pharmacists told me the sleep aid was the same as benedryl, without the antihistamine.
Guest guest
, Benadryl is classified as an antihistamine. That's why some people use it for bee stings, hives, etc. But it helps one sleep real good too! With my last surgery I broke out in hives in the recovery room and they gave me IV Benadryl. After about 15 min. they were alll gone. Hugs, S. Re: benedryl Re: Re: Rotating medications? Re: Re: Rx: Arthrotec anyone? > well, I don't know. Guest guest
Hi , I know, I think it is wonderful for that reason... The last time I was in the US, I had somebody bring me to Costco to stock up on it... I think I have a nice supply which should last me a few years, he-he... It was so cheap I couldn't believe it. I think I paid around $3.50 for 400 pills, generic ones (Kirkland). The price tag said around $7, then when we came to the cashier, they took off another 50%... Also I liked the generic ones better, they are so much smaller and easier to swallow than the original ones. I don't know why, but for some reason benadryl was taken off the market here in Norway a few years ago. Too bad, because even if we may not need it as an antihistamine anymore (there's so many good more modern ones), it is very useful as a sleep aid. I have thought that it must be so much better than using sleeping pills. Also it helps a lot for my itching because of psoriasis and it does not stay in the system as long as other options to relieve itching, which is great. I also found out that if I can't sleep, I can take it quite late in the evening and still get up in the morning. Many other options are not like that at all. No... I think I need to put the computer down for a while... I have a little cutie of a Yorkie girl here who wants to play, I think... Down on the floor, Mom!!! Quick!!! She is so excited, I got a pack of kitten food, tiny small kibbles. She is willing to go through fire in order to get them... Aase Marit >Yes, but it helps a person sleep also.
