Guest guest
Hi Joy, I'm A+. I've never read that book....my mother did several years ago. When I finally went on Atkins I had slowly lost weight over the past 5.5 years. I went from 235 to 198, in two years. Some of the changes that I had made to start with, coke to diet coke. Stairs at work. At I did a light work out 10-15 minutes at lunch a few day a week. I hovered there for probably another 2 years. Then when I started working out and traing for the Breast Cancer 3 Day I went down to 170. That's when I started Atkins. I'm down to 152 as of this morning. Most of my fat is around the belly. I haven't worked out in 2.5 weeks. But I'm out at the park with my son and a girl that I watch 3-4 days a week. I park far out in the parking lot. I move my Armour to split up in the am and early afternoon to see if that helps. I'm working on adding more iron suppliment and B12 into my day. My oldest sister(not the Hashi's one) was a vegetarian for 10 years. When she got together with her husband he isn't she slowly ditched the vegertarian diet and says she feel much better. She has never had an ounce of fat on her! She is the one we are all jelous of! Kate > I think your blood type might be a good indicator as to whether or not you should use the Atkins diet, or at least on how to modify it for your needs. I'm a type O. That's perfect for the Atkins diet. Type O's need lots of meat, particularly beef. When I've tried to go strictly vegetarian, I get very ill. One of the other blood types is better off as a vegetarian and when they try to do Atkins, they get very ill because they eat high levels of meat. So, those in the types that should be more vegetarian might want to look at nuts and other alternatives to meat proteins if they want to do the Atkins diet. > > There's a series of books out there called " Eat Right For Your Blood Type " that explains it all. > > By the way, I love the Atkins diet! I've lost 45 pounds with it so far. I'm in a bad stall right now, which happens occasionally. I lose 30 pounds, then go back up a bit, then lose 30 more. Last time I went back up 10, this time just 3 so far. Holiday time really sucks for sugary stuff being around the office! :-) > > Joy > > > > > >

I can feel the difference the next day after using soy sauce on Chinese food! I tested it out once and ate it the night before going for blood work (TSH only) and my TSH was up alot form the last test on same meds. Of course I like ALOT of soy sauce on my Chinese foods! Guest guest
Well then, taking a little soy lecithin everyday to keep the cholesterol level even & balanced & to keep the triglycerides count down would be okay too then I would suppose. Guest guest
Val, Try using Bragg's Aminos instead of soy sauce. It tastes exactly the same but hasn't got a drop of soy in it. It's all protein..amino acids. I get mine at my health food store cuz I love chinese food too & stir fries I make myself. I also put it in veggie soups I make nearly everyday in my crock pot. Guest guest
I sure would htink so. I thik the problem with soy is also the pollutants in the processing. As far as I know the lecethin is totally good for you. As far as I know.....things as close to their natural form as possible. ~inga > > Well then, taking a little soy lecithin everyday to keep the cholesterol level > even & balanced & to keep the triglycerides count down would be okay too then > I would suppose. > Caroline > > From: kaoscattery > >>> Everything I've read says low amounts of soy is ok for HypoT, just not very >>> much.<<< Kate > >
