Congrats!! What a great day to celebrate!! Lyssa's so lucky to have

such a great mom. Life can settle down a little now. No more

flights for 6 months.

Kathy, I am so happy Lyssa isn't relapsing. Her feet look identical

to Isabellas. The way she holds them and moves them. She is so

adorable and a very happy baby. It was great talking to you and if

you have any question don't hesitate to ask me. I won't see you next

time Isabella don't go back until November 18th. Please keep me

updated on how she is doing. I know yesterday was a wonderful day for

you having the good news.

Best wishes

Kathy,

That is wonderful news!! does this also sometimes. I'll see

his feet resting like that and a little fear runs through me! But he

doesn't do it that often and even less now than he used to. I had to

follow up for a problem with myself with one the ortho Dr.s that

saw. When he came in the room he said, well, well, who's the

patient here. Which he knew the answer to--he had my chart right in

his hand! I think it was his way of finding out what we did. But

once I told him he really didn't seem to have any interest. We only

have 2 orthopedic drs in my town and they stay pretty busy with

broken bones, arthroscoies, joint replacements, etc. so I don't

think they are interested in investing the time in something like

this. But I just happened to think..... I went to high school with

this really nice guy who is soon to return to town as an ortho

surgeon and his wife is a pediatrician. I might have to have a talk

with him sometime to see if he is interested.

That is so wonderful that Lyssa did not relapse.

still very flexible and have great range of motion. He said that

the clubfeet babies tend to turn their feet in while relaxing

I have a question for parents that have changed doctors after

surgery was recommended and achieved correction with the Ponseti

method and no surgery. Has anyone gone back to the orginial doctor

to let them know that your child is corrected without surgery? My

husband and I were discussing talking to our orginial doctor in

hopes that he would see that the modifications he is using to the

Ponseti method are wrong, but we aren't sure how to go about it

without offending him. We truely believe he is a dedicated doctor

but just needs to see the difference correct training will make.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

YEA!!! I could not be happier for you & your family, especially Lyssa. I know

I'm behind but I still wanted to let you know! :-)

Of course for the other all I have to offer is my opinion. YES. Say something

to the doctor. I think we move through our doctor appointments so intimidated

we forget about number one. the patient. They are still people and I don't

think it matters what kind of profession a person is in, everyone should be open

to constructive feedback, delivered of course in a " PC " way.

On a personal note, my former sister-in-law, is a pediatrician and I can assure

you she didn't know everything. She liked to act like it but up close and

personal, just a person with her own issues.

Your shared information should be looked at by your doctor as a benefit. I say

go for it. For Pete's sake, look at Dr Ponseti, he's 90 & still hasn't stopped

his research and he's been at this specific method since 1940.
